Estrella Vista Reception Center – Avondale Wedding Photographer

Cynthia and Dillon were married at the Estrella Vista Reception Center in Avondale, AZ. Both the ceremony and the reception were held there. From start to finish a great time was had by all. They’re both so polite and refined, exactly what you’d expect from a military couple. Even when Cynthia was stressed, she was calm, cool and collected.

While I photographed Cynthia getting ready, Charles, my beyond fabulous second shooter for the day, took some photos of the groom, Dylan, getting ready. Then Charles and I took the rings and dress outside to get some incredibly beautiful photos. The Estrella Vista Reception Center is a great place for photos because there are just enough pretty spots in opened shade to get great portraits no matter what time of day it is. Other choices in the Goodyear area for receptions include Palm Valley Golf Club, Eagles Nest Country Club and the renowned Wigwam Golf & Spa Resort.

Photos from The Estrella Vista Reception Center

I love this photo of Cynthia and her dad during the father daughter dance. If you look closely, you can see a single tear on Cynthia’s cheek. These are the moments that wedding photojournalists are best at capturing, those split seconds that make photos mean so much in years to come.

One of the things that’s really nice about having your ceremony in locations like the Estrella Vista Reception Center is that they rarely have any restrictions preventing us from getting shots like this gorgeous shot of Dylan putting the ring on Cynthia’s finger. Make sure that you check for any restrictions on Photography with your church prior to booking.

zararian - The Estrella Vista reception gave a classic and classy look for the wedding and the photos. The bride is simple yet beautiful and the people there have enjoyed the wedding. The wedding looks great too.

Fifi Leigh - yeah, nice candid photos. the people look very natural and down to earth. i prefer to take candid photos as well, to portray each person as who they really are, without posing and trying to be someone they arent.

fenalpha - There is so much character in these photos. The photographer captured the personalities of the bride and groom very well I think.

KayKay - Nice pictures! The colors are amazing, and the couple looks very proud. My boyfriend is in the military, so I looked extra hard at these pictures. Awesome job!

angelicagapit - Beautiful photography! It shows everyone in such a natural setting!

It focuses greatly on a certain subject and blurs the rest. Desert Ridge Photography has a really inspiring photography blog. I’m inspired to my DSLR out from storage and to start taking photographs again.

Photos like these make me miss photography!

maripereira - The light leaks on the groom’s portrait looks very nice!
Being a photographer, you’ve got to have great timing, and that’s exactly what happened here with the ring picture or the kiss one.
Always being alert and prepared to register a beautiful but flickering moment.

Once again, great job with this set! I’m sure they were very happy to have such high quality photos to remember their wedding by.

msonja - These are the greatest pictures. You definitely captured the love and fun at the wedding! None of it looks staged or planned, it just looks like a bunch of friends and family enjoying a wedding. The bride looks beautiful. I also love the amount of focus in some of the pictures, especially the last three. It really helps capture the moment.

Badd - Wow, excellent catch with that first picture! Being able to notice that, the single streak of a tear running down her cheek, and then snap the picture before the opportunity is lost, definitely says something about your talent as a photographer. Also shows exactly why having a wedding photographer, rather than a friend with a camera, is pretty much essential.
I had not considered that some churches would have a restriction on photography during the ceremony; I had figured that it would be up to the bride and groom. I guess that’s something to carefully consider, and to ask about before hand. A nice church may not be worth it if I’m not going to have the pictures to remember it by!

theshaynee - The reception pictures look like so much fun. You really captured all the emotion and sensation of the moment. I can almost feel what they were feeling.

TPhoenix - WOW, what a nice looking couple and you perfectly captured the happiness of the moment. That ring shot is nothing short of dazzling. We have to talk about my wedding!

mirrorslens - You compliment the reception center in your post a lot for being able to provide a great setting for photography, but frankly, I think you’re underselling your skill at taking them! The background is admittedly beautiful, and the Estrella Vista Reception Center seems like a great place to have a wedding, but these pictures wouldn’t be half as good as they are without your skill! You’ve got such a great eye for capturing those blink-and-you’ll-miss-them moments: the tear on the bride’s cheek during the father-daughter dance, the energy of the guys (during what I assume is the garter toss), and even the look of mild nerves on the groom’s face while his friends take the shots around him. Each one tells a little story.

KallySchroeder - I love how each shot taken tells it’s own story. The beauty of these pictures separately is breathtaking, but when put together the story makes the pictures beyond beautiful. The love that is shared between these two beautiful people jumps out of the pictures and warms my heart. The way the shots were captured is exquisite. I really hope my wedding is as beautifully captured as this one is.

DrmrBlss - What stands out the most to me in these photos are the vivid colors. The bridal bouquet ties in with the red on the groom’s uniform beautifully. The bride looks beautiful, and her dress is elegant. They are such a cute couple; the photographs really showcase how happy everyone is. I am in love with the shot of the wedding rings – it’s exquisite.

jessicadnguyen - I really like that you’re able to catch the look in their eyes as they see their loved ones. The husband looks so happy to see his beautiful bride. And I liked that you didn’t just focus on them, but their entire family as well. Great job.

zombiemiko - Lovely photographs! The lighting is just amazing. I really love the photo of the couple with their maid of honor and best man!

GRADE_A - I like how the photos have a “real” look to them. They are clear, crisp and professional. I also like how the background helps enhance the photo.

mendedTire - Excellent use of contrast. Other photographers usually underutilize the situation where contrast is the prevailing element on the scene, but you managed to get it right. I also notice that you are using the professional gear. My wedding is planned 6 months from now, hopefully you will be available at that time.

karmaman - I’m impressed by the vibrancy in these shots. You really framed each shot well so it tells a story on its own and as a piece of a larger narrative.

Shana - Wow, these are once again just amazing! You use the lighting so well in all the pictures. I love the one that’s almost blurred out but really not! This couple looks so amazing good in your photos as well! They also look so extremely happy!

  • November 21, 2013 - 2:16 pm

Ms.Creativity - Some of these pictures look like they belong on TV or in a magazine! The vibrancy is amazing! In particular, the one where there are 4 people standing by a fountain. Gorgeous!
Also, I really enjoyed the moment captured in that black and white image of 3 guys sitting a table, goofing around. It just feels so genuine.
    Good work here!

Linkzelda41 - I loved how you captured these moments perfectly. From the groom preparing for the big day, to reconciling with his friends of the level of commitment that he’s getting into. To the bride that’s also ready for her special day, and taking pictures with her soon to be and both of their families.

Then to the ring that symbolizes a bond that will last a lifetime, and then finally the moment they have been waiting for. And to end things off, a casual and smooth dance to a married couple. Definitely loved how you managed to create a story like that with just a few images. It just shows no one needs one thousand pictures to create a memorable experience when it can all be condensed into a few that really matters.
