Karina & Tony | Wedding Tempe Center for the Arts

The Vendors
Ceremony Venue: Tempe Center for the Arts
Reception Venue: The Buttes

Tony and Karina are dear friends. Warm and easy going they are a pleasure to be around. When they chose the Tempe Center for the Arts as their venue I was elated. It’s a beautiful location with interesting architecture, bridges and water. They planned a very private, immediate family only ceremony with dinner at The Buttes afterwood.

After an emotional ceremony we found a quiet little area behind the tempe arts center for some wonderful family portraits. The timing was just perfect and we had the most beautiful light for the portraits. After the family portraits we did a few bride and groom portraits. The photo of them in the water has minimal photoshop. The negative edge reflecting pond really looks that way.

We eventually made our way back to The Buttes in Tempe for a celebratory dinner. Karina and Tony are planning a backyard reception and we’re looking forward to some more wonderful photos.

It’s interesting to note that the lead photograph is not edited in any way.  I captured what the scene really looked like that day.

Corey Schwartz - @ANGELICAGAPIT – In the lead photo there is almost no editing, basic corrections for color balance, density, contrast, exposure, etc. Nothing was added or taken away. It really did look like this on the day it was taken.

Badd - A very nice set! I love the orange to blue transition of the sunset with the bride and groom perfectly held between them, and the reflection of trees in the background adding to the shading – it’ll make for a great print. I also love the picture of them standing next to the reflecting pool its just wonderful. A stellar set of photos from a great wedding!

mirrorslens - Aw, what a happy looking family! They seem elated to be together, and your family portrait shots really show the off. I especially like the picture of the bride laughing with the curly haired woman; what a great moment to have on film forever! I have to say though, the most captivating picture is the one of the couple in the water. The colors are straight up gorgeous – I love that contrast between the striking blue and the burned orange – and the pose itself is striking; did they really jump into the water after getting hitched?
